This weekend we went to the kids first dance put on through our city. They had a family friendly dj, animals to pet, and crafts. It was heaven for my peanuts! They LOVED the animals. Kylie's favorite was the bunnies and Alex loves the sheep and duck!
"Hello sheep! Can we come in to play?"
Checking out the baby cow!
Sitting on some hay....not huge fans
Lemonade with daddy
The dj was great. Kids danced a ton. Cutest moment was them hiding hands and dancing to shake it off!
Other big hits were the rub on tattoos and balloons! The kids had SO much fun! What a great event :)
We took the kids to their first apple orchard. It was fantastic! We didn't even get to Apple picking because we were having so much fun in the playground and petting zoo and doing a hay ride. If it wasn't a million degrees I'm sure we would I have stayed longer.
Alex absolutely loved the tractors. It took him 0.2 seconds to spot one and he promptly ran over to it. He even got the guy to offer him to sit in the tractor seat (which any other kid would jump at but my shy guy went mute and hid behind daddy). Alex did agree to sit with daddy on the tractor and he thought that was great.
Kylie the animal lover was in heaven at the petting zoo. She literally walked up to every animal and shoved her head in its face and said her sweet "hello". The sheep returned the hi with a big kiss! She thought it was hilarious. She loved seeing the "horseys" (donkey), sheep, and "puppies" (goats)......were still working on all the animals haha!
The playground was a huge hit too, and very unique! A huge area to climb made out of tires, an old tractor turned into a playground, tires turned into swings shaped like animals and tractors, and tunnels galore!
We took the kids (back in June.....I'm a little behind) to the petting zoo and pony rides and fair! They loved the animals. Kylie loved her pony ride and Alex couldn't get off fast enough. They weren't to sure of the big slide at first but once it was done they were super excited! Then we finished the day with a healthy dinner of corn dogs and elephant ears #parentsoftheyear
We took the kids to open gym to try gymnastics, SUCCESS!!!!! They both loved it! Kylie loves jumping off anything into the foam pit. Alex likes crawling over everything. Best part is they were super exhausted after!!!

Now that they've been 3 different times thy love it! We will be putting them in classes. In the mean time Kylie is jumping off everything she can (sorry sweetie the floor is harder. A foam pit) and Alex is a natural monkey!!
Oh how much has changed in a year! Last summer Alex screamed in the pool and Kylie....well Kylie's face was this:
I guess you could say she was not impressed!
Florida was better when they were 8 months, they were ok splashing a bit but had a short attention span
Last weekend it was gorgeous so we pulled out Mavs pool (sorry buddy!) and filled it up. Mav went crazy and jumped right in. This got Alex and Kylie interested! They got in and finally looooved it! Even when they face planted they flipped over got up and played again. I see a very fun summer ahead!!

Bring on the next warm weekend so we can fill up the pool again!
